DIY GIFT BASKET Ideas for Christmas and New Year. || DIY Instant Hot Chocolate Mix Recipe || DIY beauty treatments for acne

Today I will be sharing with you guys two budget friendly DIY gift basket Ideas for Christmas and New Year.So lets get started.

DIY Facial home Spa Gift Basket

First I am going to be making a DIY Facial home Spa Gift Basket.In which I will be making/ using(All for Oily Skin type)

a) DIY Face Scrub.

b) DIY Face Mask.

c) DIY Facial Toner.

d) DIY Moisturizer.

e) and using some Face Sheet Masks .

Face Scrub

For Face Scrub I am taking here :-

1) Granulated sugar,but you can take fine sugar also if you prefer.

Then I am adding some fine Coffee powder and mixing both this ingredients nicely. The caffeine found in coffee scrubs typically increases blood flow,and makes your skin more even toned. The sugar is responsible to moisturize skin, and protects it from harsh toxins.

2) Add a pinch of cinnamon powder , its anti inflammatory properties helps to fight acne.

3) Add coconut oil which helps in deep cleansing of skin.

4) Add some aloe Vera gel for reducing skin inflammation

Transfer this mixture to an empty container. I have taken such types of containers that are easy to use under shower.

Face Mask

For Making face mask :-

1) Add Some Gram floor and turmeric to a bowl.Gram floor act as a tan removal agent and 

turmeric has antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties both good for acne prone skin.

2) Add cinnamon powder ,Which you can skip also as we have added in face scrub, but i will be using it here as I am making it for someone with acne issues like myself. 

you can use this face mask with normal water, rose water, curd or add some honey and lemon juice and use it as a face mask or face wash.

Facial Toner 

For making toner I am just adding 3-4 drops of tea tree oil in rose water  as tea tree oil helps fighting acne and we will not be adding much as it is a quite strong essential oil.You can make DIY toner by using organic apple cider vinegar also.(I use that as a toner mostly)

Face Moisturizer

Next we will be making moisturizer for acne prone skin:-

1) For this I am taking some aloe Vera gel 

2) add one small cap of glycerin , Glycerin is natural humectant,which  helps in treating wrinkles and fine lines.

 3) Then add few drops of tea tree oil . And transfer it to a clean container.

Face Sheet Masks

 I have got these sheet masks from nykka all from face shop.

I have made labels for all the beauty products and also written ingredients inside of each card. Also I have written the order in which these products should be applied to the face.Please make sure the person you are gifting these things is not allergic to any of the ingredient that you have used.

DIY Instant hot chocolate Mix

Hot Chocolate Bar

For next DIY I decided to make homemade hot chocolate mix, which is perfect to be given as a gift for Christmas or New Year.

For making the hot chocolate mix:-

1)  I have taken 100 grams dark chocolate which i have grated, Next i have added some unsweetened cocoa powder. You can also go for sweetened cocoa powder but then reduce the amount of sugar that you will be adding to this mixture.Give a nice stir to this mixture and add more cocoa powder if required.

2)  Add some fine sugar, and its measurement totally depends on how sweet you want your chocolate mix to be.

3) I am just adding a tea spoon of coffee powder which makes it really chocolaty and then give this mixture a nice stir.

4) Add a little amount of vanilla extract to the mixture and again stir the mixture nicely, The instant hot chocolate mix is ready to be given as a gift. Transfer the mix to an airtight container and i have added the recipe to make this hot chocolate drink for yourself.

You can stop here and give this jar as a gift but i went a little overboard and added some Fruit flavored marshmallows,choco-chips, cookies, added some choco-sticks to stir the mixture, and some chocolate pieces which you can add to make your drink extra chocolaty. And obviously a cute white mug. And I have labelled this basket as hot cocoa bar.

How to make hot chocolate drink?

I have not addded and dry milk powder as hot chocolate does not taste that great when you mix it with hot water.

Instead I have used 2 tablespoons of this hot chocolate mix with one cup of warm milk, Let the milk come to a boil then lower the gas flame to LOW and add two heaping spoonful of chocolate mix, Transfer to your mug, Add you are free to garnish your hot chocolate with marshmallows, choco-chips or add a cube of chocolate piece. And it will be very delicious if you have this hot chocolate with cookies.
