Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax Shower Gel Review

What do you guys like to do during weekends? In my case I like to take long showers and pamper myself. Not only does it relax my mind ,but also it is a great stress buster. Taking really long shower(which is not possible in weekdays) calms my body down and prepares it for coming days of hustle bustle. I really enjoy pampering myself with body washes or shower gels, so today I will be discussing with you about one of my favourite shower gel, that is Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax Shower Gel.
Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax Shower Gel contains goodness of Ylang Ylang essential oil and Iris extracts. ylang ylang essential oil helps fight anxiety, depression, hypertension and stress. The iris extract is known to make a balance between the dryness and the moisture of the skin. Making the skin not so oily and not so dry, somewhere between the both.
Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax Shower Gel comes in a transparent plastic bottle. The shape of the bottle is designed in a way that it can be easily held during the shower. As the bottle is transparent, it is easy to check how much of the product is left. The packaging of this product is sturdy, making it travel friendly. The colour of the shower gel is purple and smells like lavender to me. But different people may have different opinions about the fragrance of this shower gel. People with sensitive nose can also tolerate the fragrance. The consistency of the gel is neither too thick or too thin. If I talk about the texture then I would say the product feels very soft, like gel.
I take a little amount of this shower gel on my loofah, and wash my body with it. This shower gel lathers nicely and the aroma is quite relaxing. Rinses off quite well leaving my body feel soft and supple. This shower gel does it magic in only little amount, so the shower gel will last long. The fragrance lasts for about an hour or so slowly fading away. It does not dries out my skin. I am really impressed with this shower gel.
This shower gel is worth a shot, I do not use any shower gel/body wash twice. it's not because I do not like it but it's because I like to try different shower gels/body washes. So may be I will try a variant of this range.

This shower gel is priced 170 rupees for 250 ml , but you can get it for less price if you buy it online.Ingredients:
- Aqua- water
- Sodium C12-13 Pareth Sulfate (*A)/Sodium Laureth Sulfate (*B) - is responsible to make product foamy .
- Cocamidopropyl Betaine - is also known as foam booster, has antiseptic properties.
- Parfum -perfume.
- Sodium Chloride-has anti ageing properties.
- Cocamide MEA - is responsible for foaming, thickening(of shower gel) enhances the properties of cleansing. Also is responsible to moisturise and condition the skin and hair.
- Sodium Benzoate- works as a preservative.
- Sodium Salicylate -Deodorant agent, is responsible to fight the unpleasant odour of skin.
- Citric Acid- is effective against mild pigmentation, clogged pores, sun tanning, dark spots.
- Polyquaternium-7- is a moisturising agent.
- Tetrasodium EDTA - helps in cleansing the skin by attracting dirt and oil from skin so it can be rinsed away.
- Poloxamer 124- is responsible to make skin absorb moisture.
- Cananga Odorata Oil - helps fight stress, anxiety and depression.
- Pogostemon Cablin Oil - is responsible to calm down and relax the body, also treats skin problems like dermatitis, eczema.
- Lavandula Angustifolia Oil - Or lavender oil, is a stress buster and helps to banish stale odours.
- Iris Germanica Root Extract - already mentioned in product description.
- Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone- is a fragrance ingredient.
- Benzyl Salicylate - fragrance additive.
- Coumarin - Is responsible to impart fragrance to a substance.
- Hexyl Cinnamal - is responsible to impart jasmine like fragrance.
- Limonene ,Linalool - If it is present in pure form the it is beneficial for skin but may cause allergic reaction when oxidised.

What I liked about this shower gel:
- Nice firm grip of the bottle
- Has pleasing fragrance
- Affordable
- Relaxes the body
- Appealing colour of the shower gel
- Does not dry out the skin
- Cleanses the skin nicely
- Ingredients present in it are quite impressive
- Helps to vanish body odour
What I didn't like about this shower gel:
- Fragrance does not lasts for long .
- Contains Limonene ,Linalool-which are known to cause skin allergy sometimes, but I didn't feel anything like this.
- A little bulky if you are traveling
Would I repurchase/recommend the product?
